Email List Server Information
To JOIN the email list, send an email (from the account you wish to join from)
to email@example.com and type only the
subscribe vduny Your Name in the body
of the email. (ex:
subscribe vduny Joe Smith)
To GET OFF the email list, you need to send an email to
firstname.lastname@example.org and type only the words
unsubscribe vduny in the body of the email. You
must send the email from the same account that you wish to be removed
from the list. If you no longer have this account, contact Bob Nims and request
that he manually delete your name.
The purpose of the email list is mainly to receive announcements about when and
where the meetings are, as well as giving the members of the list an opportunity
to email questions or announcements to the whole group when they are unable to
attend the meeting in person.
We have all enjoyed the fact that vduny is a low-traffic list. Please remember
to stay on topic. Send Visual Development questions or announcements
(jobs/hiring/upcoming seminars/etc...) that are appropriate to present to the
whole group by emailing email@example.com.
There's no "Undo"
Whatever you send to firstname.lastname@example.org gets
automatically posted to all the people on the list!
Avoid replying to email@example.com, unless everyone needs to know. Once
conversation starts, it is best to exchange email addresses and continue the
email thread directly with the person who initiated the question.
To ask questions of or make announcements to the group, address the email to
firstname.lastname@example.org. To ask a question
about the group or volunteer for a presentation or to sponsor a meeting, contact
